Guide Lines for Gulf Shores Residents and Renters

Collection of Trash, etc.

Monday - Vegetation. Large pieces must be baled and tied. Smaller pieces are to be in trash bags or containers. Material is not to be left out more than 24 hours prior to pick-up. Landscapers should be requested to cooperate on this requirement. If you leave prior to collection day, you may want to make arrangements with a neighbor to put containers out and back.

Tuesday - Weekly collection of Garbage and Trash. Please place bags and receptacles at curbside in the A.M. Do not put them out the night before, as this attracts raccoons and other critters.
Recyclables in the green tub. Newspapers, magazines, light cardboard, corrugated cardboard, junk mail and office paper, plastics with numbered triangles, tin cans, bottles. Please return tubs to your garage or house.

Pet Policies
Your pet must be leashed and under control at all times. Owners must not allow dogs to chase birds. Owners must also "clean up" after their pets and dispose of refuse properly.

City Ordinances
It is against the law to feed any wildlife: especially alligators and birds. Wildlife loses fear of humans and becomes attracted to people and pets, sometimes leading to tragic results. There is no collecting of live shells; please throw them back. We live in an area with water problems; please use it sparingly and respect water use restrictions when in force.

Loud construction and landscaping noise is restricted to Monday through Saturday from 7 A.M. to 5 P.M. No such noise is allowed on Sunday.

Lights and Noise
Lights near the beach can confuse turtles; keep lights down. In consideration of your neighbors please keep outside light levels and noise at a minimum.

Cars
Please obey Gulf Shores Association speed limits (20 mph) and stop at stop signs. Display your beach parking decal when parking at the access.

Adhering to these few rules will help maintain the beauty and tranquility of our neighborhood, a place we all love and enjoy.

Thank you!
